In the mid-1970's, hand-painted and jeweled eyeglasses and sunglasses dominated the couture scene. These vintage 1975 reading glasses have a single jewel detail in the upper right corner. Both side of the frame front are hand painted and laminated in the corners. This kind of detailing is unheard of nowadays.
