High Index 1.60 Lenses

High Index 1.60 lenses are a good choice for people with prescriptions in the range of +/-3.00 to +/-5.00, and who are looking for a better visual acuity than the polycarbonate lenses, which have a very similar 1.59 index.  High Index 1.60 lenses are more expensive than polycarbonate, and so they are a less popular option except for people that are very sensitive to visual acuity.

High Index 1.60 lenses are not available polarized.  If you are looking for a higher index polarized lens, choose polycarbonate lens material, or Trivex, or ultra high index lenses.
