FUNDING SURGERY
TO PREVENT BLINDNESS

Blindness is rampant around the world, especially among the poor, but 80% of blindness is preventable. The Eyeglasses.com vision is to help open the eyes of humanity to LOOK DIFFERENT, by eradicating preventable blindness. In 2017, we set up a program to cure blindness, "one person per day". To date, we've funded sight-restoring surgeries for more than 900 people and counting!

When you restore someone's eyesight, you restore their ability to support their family, village, country and the world. But it doesn't stop there. It has a ripple effect that inspires, encourages and empowers hope, courage, compassion, kindness and vision to help others less fortunate in their ways.  

GIFT OF VISION

Eyeglasses.com was founded on the principle of providing better vision to all people, at an affordable price, while enhancing the individuality of every person. There are millions of people in the world that are completely blind. But this blindness is correctible with a simple cataract surgery. This surgery costs thousands of dollars in the United States and Europe, but in India the cost is only $30. India has 10 million blind people with a correctible condition. We can help.

We have partnered with the Sankara Eye Foundation to donate the $30 they need to make blind people see again. GIVING TO THE HOMELESS

At Eyeglasses.com, we continually LOOK for new ways to give back and encourage our employees to do the same. We support our employees' community work to give back to their communities with both paid leave and cash donations. We also make donations to local organizations that serve the homeless, and we provide free eyeglasses and eye exams. Eyeglasses.com also funds a program to provide eyewear exams to donate eyeglasses called Vision For The Homeless.

At Eyeglasses.com, we also give back to other organizations, such as Rotary International, Sankara Eye Foundation, and we make in-kind donations to various groups that supply eyewear to other communities. We believe our compassionate activism for people, place, and purpose differentiates us from all other online eyewear companies.

At Eyeglasses.com, we are always looking to reduce the burden on the environment and strongly encourage and favor suppliers who do the same. Our World Community Service policy is constantly evolving. Our company has quarterly actions and impact reviews on our community and environmental programs. We obtain accurate assessments that set our goals and objectives.

We also like to promote brands such as ECO Eyewear, which utilizes 95% composed of recycled materials. We are also diligent about being efficient in recycling all materials as permitted. This ethical fiber of heightened social consciousness and environmental responsibility strengthens the fabric of the future of our company.
