The standard polycarbonate Progressive lens is a good, basic lens choice for modest corrections. It comes with scratch resistant coating, and you can add a basic anti-reflective coating at a good price. However, if you want additional coatings you may need to choose a Varilux lens.  This is a good choice for prescriptions ranging from -9.00 to +6.00 sphere, and -4.00 to +3.00 cylinder, and up to +3.00 add (excluding prism and slab off).  However, if your prescription is over +/-6.00, you should consider a 1.67 index or higher in order to minimize lens weight and thickness.
